We are proud to present our new product, the kooaba Library. It allows you to catalog and share your media collection such as CDs and DVDs on the web. You can scan your Items using our mobile image recognition application for iPhone and Android. Sign up now.
If you are already a user of kooaba for iPhone, you probably noticed that we added a new button called Settings to the application.
On the Settings panel you can enter your account information, which is needed if you want to use the kooaba Library. Now, all the items you snap using the iPhone app will be added to your personal library. Check out the following video to find out all about it:
We’d like to share a great panel at the World Economic Forum 2009 in Davos with Chad Hurley (YouTube), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Shantanu Narayen (Adobe), Hamid Akhavan (T-Mobile), Eric Clemens (Wharton), Mike Arrington (TechCrunch) and Craig Mundie (Microsoft) about social networking and the future of mobile. Enjoy!
In addition to movie posters, kooaba will now recognize hundreds of thousands of DVDs and give you information about the movie, such as the trailer, reviews or shopping links. Additional new features include:
Significantly improved user interface
Search results are shown in integrated browser
Pictures can be taken from almost any point in the app
Integration of geographic location for optimized search results
Faster search
Increased stability
Download the app now on iTunes and snap a picture of your favorite DVD. No DVD around? Test it with the packshot of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:
We released a small update to kooaba Search for iPhone today! Version 1.0.1 contains bugfixes and performance enhancements: Images will be submitted faster and the app should be more stable.
Head over to the App Store and install the update!
Fresh out of the kooaba labs: kooaba’s iPhone client!
It’s as easy to use as the iPhone itself: You see a movie poster you want to know more about (e.g. the feature Hancock): Just snap a picture using our new application and tap the search button. After the picture has been automatically sent and recognized you receive all relevant information about the movie such as the official trailer, reviews, information about the actors, or you can buy the soundtrack on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. No typing of search strings needed, no extensive browsing, just snap a picture instead! There is no faster way for mobile phones to get relevant information about real-world objects.
Below, we show a short video, which gives you a first impression of how the final application will look like on the iPhone 3G. The software will be available as a free download in the coming weeks.
