It’s time to show another example of challenging queries as they are recognized by our system – it’s time for the image of the week. This week featuring an example from a mobile marketing campaign we are currently running. Since XIPAX featured a kooaba project as Mobile Marketing campaign of the week in their newsletter, we decided to pick a snapshot from our interactive spring promotion with Selecta:
This photo was recently sent to us by one of the participants:
…and matched correctly to the reference image of Kägi-fret (a DELICIOUS wafer speciality covered with finest Swiss milk chocolate).
The image of this week illustrates a perfect use of kooaba to get movie information on the go: it seems like someone from Germany wanted to get additional information about “Radio Rock Revolution” on his iPhone before he decided to watch the movie in the cinema.
You can do it too. Just download kooaba Search for iPhone and snap a picture of the movie poster to get additional information about it. It’s fun!
Our image of the week is coming from Portugal and features Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Like Steven Spielberg this is our favorite of the first three “Indiana Jones” films!
Clint Eastwood is again brilliant in his new movie Gran Torino. This is the fourth time Clint Eastwood has played a Korean War veteran. Maybe a candidate for an oscar?
The winning image of this week comes from Germany. It shows a poster of the movie Superbad, which correctly matched to the reference image on the right.
We have a winner: The photo taken from an image inside a magazine with kooaba Search for iPhone is our “image of the week”. It was correctly recognized as the movie Hancock with Will Smith. Coincidentally it’s the same movie we used in our promotional video for “kooaba Search”.
Btw. Did you know that the original title was “Tonight, He Comes.”? It was later retitled “John Hancock”, then finally retitled “Hancock”.
It’s Friday. Time for “image of the week”. The snapshot of the cover below a user sent us via our iPhone application kooaba Search is our favorite of this week. It was correctly recognized as the movie Back to the Future.
Please vote for us in this competition. In cooperation with ADC*E, the Art Directors Club of Europe, XIPAX is initiating a worldwide creative competition to be operated exclusively online.
The XIPAX community will shortlist the top 10 ads via online voting. The winners will then be judged by a qualified panel of leading creative professionals: the board members of ADC*Europe from 18 countries.
We uploaded some of our work in the Mobile part of XIPAX. Feel free to vote for our campaigns (e.g. for O2, easyJet or Mentos). Thanks in advance for your support!
New on the kooaba blog, we will start the category “image of the week”, which shows each Friday the most impressive image that was recognized during the week.
The image of this week (below on the left) surprised us. It was correctly recognized as the movie Dogville (below on the right).
