Merry Christmas

December 22nd, 2009 by Marc

2009 was an exciting year for all of us. Our team worked hard to create great products and new features. They include our online library, Comparis’ price comparison application and our interactive print solution which we’ve launched with WIRED Magazine – just to name a few. Famous brands such as Mazda, Sony or Selecta choose kooaba to make their campaigns interactive. And we’re very proud of the appreciations we got throughout the year from Swiss National TV, TechCrunch and users and followers on Twitter.

We would like to thank everybody who supported us during the past twelve months. This (interactive) Christmas card is specially made for you:

Use a "Smart Visual" to explore, share and organize your preferred tune.

Take a picture of your favorite snow globe with the kooaba application for iPhone or Android, and discover the smart extras that connect you with your music.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

kinki magazine becomes interactive

December 17th, 2009 by Marc

kinki magazineFrom their start in 2008 I knew that this was a great and special magazine. The monthly published periodical kinki magazine is a young and urban lifestyle magazine with an international focus on urban culture. It’s based on a cross-media concept including a community website, events and summer tours during the festival period.

We’re proud to announce that kinki partnered up with us to make their entire magazine interactive. Using our free app for iPhone and Android kinki readers can snap a picture of any page within the issue with their smartphone to explore additional content like videos, share their favorite articles on Facebook and collect them in their personal kooaba Library.

In their first interactive issue they published a great article about kooaba. You can read it on my Library (it’s in German).

Last but not least check out their great TV spot and get a subscription if you like the mag.

Say hello to the wild world web!

In cooperation with Proximity Germany, Hamburg based agency TrendONE released a comprehensive white paper about the Outernet. Some of the key findings include:

  • The whole world becomes a hyperlink
  • Intelligent every day objects and a new generation of mobile devices link in the Internet of Things
  • Augmented Reality makes customized and relevant information based on location possible
  • Technology approaches closer to people
  • There’s a huge potential for marketing, new business models and services

One topic in the report is about the “Web of Things” where kooaba and our Interactive Print service is mentioned. If you’re interested in the whole white paper, please send an e-mail to Torsten Rehder at TrendONE. It’s free!

Meanwhile please enjoy Nick Sohnemann’s presentation (unfortunately without the videos) he held at the Grape Digital Conference 2009.
