We released a small update to kooaba Search for iPhone today! Version 1.0.1 contains bugfixes and performance enhancements: Images will be submitted faster and the app should be more stable.
Head over to the App Store and install the update!

kooaba wins Mobile Search Award

The Mobile Search Awards, organized by Visiongain, were held on the evening of September 16th, the first day of the annual Mobile Search Conference ‘08. Good progress has been made in this emerging area, and the Mobile Search Awards look to honor those businesses and individuals who have raised the bar within the mobile search and discovery industry.
With a grand ceremony in central London, kooaba won an award in the category “Best advertising or marketing service” – we are very honored! Many thanks to the whole team at visiongain and Peggy Anne Salz of msearchgroove for handing out the award.

Europe’s biggest movie magazine CINEMA let readers vote for their favorite ad in every issue. Until now readers could submit their vote by postcard or online on CINEMA’s website.
The September issue offers a whole new and innovative way to submit a vote. Readers don’t have to write or type anything to vote but just take a simple photo of their favorite ad with their mobile phone and send it to a short code or e-mail address. kooaba’s image recognition technology will then recognize which ad the reader sent in.
